The Truth about Goats

“This Summer’s top holiday destination…Kurdistan!”

Travel experts are advising all refugees to book their dream holiday today! With a world of war-torn locales to choose from; this year’s Red Crescent destination is impoverished Kurdistan. With its culture of systematic abuse by Turkey, Iran, Syria and Iraq – what says ‘home away from home’ more than separatist conflict, malnutrition and medieval human rights?

The president, Massoud Barzani, has been understandably pleased that his nation will be visited by bankruptcy, Bono and flies. A UN spokesmen said: ‘What a country needs to help develop its emerging economy, autonomy and egalitarianism is a massive influx of refugees. All those cultural tensions, medical needs and post-traumatic traumas just help to spread the love. Obviously we’d like to assist but we’re too busy facilitating the division of any Syrian oil revenue’. Iraqi Kurdistan is now top of the vacation lists for ‘LonelyPlanet.com’, AMNESTY International and ‘Jihadist monthly’.

‘Roughguide.com’ recommends that you ‘cross the Tigris at midnight, leaving belongings, loved ones and your cares behind you. Settle in one of the many quaint villages abandoned due to poverty, genocide or chemical bombing. Each has its own picturesque campsite, where you will get to share a tent with 8 other Syrian families. Remember, a lifetime in Kurdistan could be as long four months! P.S. Don’t drink the water.’

Actually, I think Kurdistan would be interesting to see. Well, maybe not this year.

"It takes a sick and yet highly evolved mind to fully grasp the sophistication of your humor. I tried to explain this to my wife, who thought I was having convulsions as I lay on the floor laughing." (Mike Lince)
