The Truth about Goats

Max Clifford to take 8 years to update his autobiography

By popular request and judge’s order, the ironically infamous PR guru is to spend a ‘little longer than expected’ fleshing out the chapters of his even more ironically titled ‘Max Clifford: Read All About It’. His publisher has confirmed that the publicist will focus the next eight years on refining his narrative, peeling potatoes and ‘making nice with his cell mate’

Daily Mail journalist, Angela Levin, is co-author and provides key insights into the man, the myth and the midnight express. Readers will be delighted with his behind the scenes anecdotes concerning Freddie Starr, Simon Cowell and being found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault. Whatever else, Mr. Clifford will have plenty of time to reflect on the error of his ways and to rethink the title of the last chapter – ‘There’s no such thing as bad publicity’.

Having represented O.J.Simpson’s, Clifford admits in the book that he would have been better advised to waive his fee in exchange for access to Simpson’s legal team. In other chapters Clifford offers sage words of advice concerning negative publicity, handling the press and ‘shower time in B Wing’. Some prison inmates have expressed a hope that Mr. Clifford can bring his own expertise to helping them improve their public persona – but for ‘Mad dog Frankie Fraser’ it may take more than a celebrity make-over.

"It takes a sick and yet highly evolved mind to fully grasp the sophistication of your humor. I tried to explain this to my wife, who thought I was having convulsions as I lay on the floor laughing." (Mike Lince)
