The Truth about Goats
In a strange string of coincidence a Labour MP who hates Jeremy Corbyn and Ken Livingstone, found an excuse today to revel in his profound dislike of both men while indulging in some ‘old school heckling’. Helpfully labelling the ex-London Mayor a ‘fucking disgrace’ for his comments about the State of Israel, John Mann continued to deliver a stream of verbal abuse to show his outrage at what he felt was stream inexcusable verbal abuse.
Interestingly there already exits ‘Godwin’s rule of Nazi analogies’ but there also exists ‘Ken’s law’, whereby if you let Mr. Livingstone talk along enough he will say something fairly controversial. A friend of Mr. Livingstone said: ‘Who can forget that pivotal moment in ‘Love Story’, when Ali MacGraw told Ryan O’Neal that Hitler was a Zionist. No one. Because she didn’t say it. And if she did – it was taken out of context’.
Mr. Mann, as chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group against Antisemitism, did not help matters by appearing not to have heard of the 1933 Haavara Agreement between Nazi’s and Zionists. Likewise, in 2015, he had written for the bastion of tolerance and left-wing ideals, The Daily Mail, that Mr. Corbyn was a pacifist, a terrorist sympathizer and worse still – ‘bearded’. Also, not one to shy away respecting parliamentary democracy, Mr. Mann further accused Mr. Corbyn of failing to act on child abuse allegations – making Fascism the last logical stop on his tour of taboos.
One MP commented: ‘Why have a long debate, when you can just scream ‘Nazi’ at someone in the street? Quite frankly Mr. Livingstone was naïve in his comments, as I doubt Hitler favoured repatriation of Jewish citizens as a friendly act. Context is everything. And I support Mr. Mann in finding a final solution to the problem of Jeremy Corbyn’.
